A Careful Approach to AI
Training, tools and workshops for socially responsible AI strategies
Hype-free
Our workshops and training are suitable for any organisation taking a socially responsible approach to AI. Prioritising positive impact on people and planet will build trust, assist with regulatory compliance, minimise biased outcomes, and enhance the experiences of customers and employees. We help our clients evaluate technical, social and ethical implications to establish how AI and automation can, and cannot, help deliver their business goals.
Our Services
Based on our five step process we offer a range of training and workshops that can be adapted to suit your organisational needs. These range from full and half day training immersion events through to 1-2-1 mentoring and lunchtime ‘AI 101’ training for your whole organisation.

Values
Unsure of how AI will help deliver your organisational values? Concerned about ethical and reputational traps? Our process will help set priorities and establish red lines, and ensure you’re making clear choices about how and when to use AI.
2. Vision
Understand where and how AI will, and won’t, support achieving your organisation’s goals so you can develop precise, useful strategies that help deliver where you need to be next.
3. Complexity
Is it complex or just complicated? We’ll help you sort your wicked problems from your inefficiencies so you can implement AI where you really need it, and support your people in ways that deliver real benefit.
4. Workflows
This is a deep dive that uncovers dependencies and roadblocks in your service automation, so you can see up close which tasks can be automated and where mitigations and workarounds are needed.
5. Consequences
Looking ahead to understand the longer term internal and external consequences of using AI: what are the possible political, environmental and social outcomes? Learn how to anticipate new risks and develop active management plans.
Our Process
Through our bespoke process we work through five stages; Values, Vision, Complexity, Workflows and Consequences. This process moves you from clearly expressing vision and values to understanding where and how automated decision making and other AI-enabled technologies will and will not be additive, as well as equipping you with the information to develop a risk approach and establish what is technically and strategically desirable with respect to AI.
How we work
We combine an active foresight and futures practice with deep technical expertise and policy and product experience.
Care is the organising principle for everything we do: care for and about people and the planet, combined with a rigorous and diligent approach to investigating uncertainty.
We are constantly learning, always curious, and strive to be inclusive and accepting.
We champion patient innovation, inclusive growth, and feminism for the 99%.
We are wayfinders not competitors.
If AI is the answer, what is the question?
We offer bespoke training and strategic development services for teams and organisations making sense of AI.
